Christmas Wishlist Re-Post!

Bandwagon. I'm on it.

*Surf around your friends list (or friends’ friends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list.

And now here's the important part:

*If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use—or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free—do it.

* You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out; it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf—to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not—it's your call.

* There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish and it might come true. Give and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

RoV Anime? I've got the entire series subbed. if it's small enough, I'll toss it in a cheap pen drive and mail it out.

If you lay some images on me I can see about taking care of some of 2 and possibly 3 at some point? Anime or manga scans are fine as long as the quality is decent.

Hm... as far as manga goes.

1/2 Prince
: Not a shoujo strictly speaking, but most people I've shown it to have liked it.
Dengeki Daisy, Ice Revolution, Sarasah, Blanc Marie, Cat Street, I am a Piano, Replay

That's just what I can think of offhand, if I think of more I'll certainly let you know. Especially since most of those are one shots. I also tried to steer clear of the more well known series like anything by Yuu Watase and that sort of thing.

Are K-dramas okay too? Because if so I'd really recommend watching Coffee Prince. That site there also has a bunch of drama both K-drama and J-drama, so you can always browse around there. I'm sure there's plenty of good stuff to catch your attention.

I've got a lot of Japanese mp3s--do you have any preference on what artist, what anime or whatever it might be from, anything like that?
Dec. 16th, 2010 07:52 pm (UTC)
I have everything Spitz and Remioromen does.

I usually prefer male artists, and I'm not a huge Visual Kei fan. I wouldn't mind having some modern female vocals too.

My favorites, to give you an idea of what I already like:

Male: Sukima Switch, Suemitsu and the SMITH (anything they released after 2008 I don't have), Yuzu, Spitz, Remioromen, Mr. Children (though if you have HANABI, I would love that), Southern All Stars, Motohiro Hata, Tokunaga Hideaki, Tamaki Koji

Female: Tomoko Kawase (the latest stuff she has - anything post 2007 would be awesome), Zwei, Angela Aki, Yuna Ito, Anna Tsuchiya, Morning Musume, YUI, Natsukawa Rimi, Chatmonchy

But I'll take anything!

Hmmm. You'll have to get "anything," since I'm not familiar with most of those artists. X);; I'll send you some of my personal favorites/current earworms later tonight, then!

I might draw Ami-chan for you later when I'm done with all of my holiday stuff. She's my sister's favorite senshi, too :D

Well, I can help with #6 on the second list, at least :)

- I'm sure you've seen this one before, but the TakaWiki is the absolute English-language Takarazuka resource. Beyond the performance and actress info, there are translations of articles that are fun to read and guides to various aspects of the fandom.
- ti_project offers subtitled DVDs of select shows for very reasonable prices.
- And if you don't already have an account, I would suggest signing up for NicoNico. It has a lot of fun Takarazuka videos that aren't always on Youtube, and it's generally the first place recent show digests and whatnot are posted.
